 Parents,

I hope all of you enjoyed the holiday break.

December was a wonderful month at Meadow Brook! It was overwhelming to watch the kindnesses of so many! There was a tremendous amount of support with the Giving Tree and with school lunches being paid off for students in need! Thanks to each of you for making our school and community a better place to be!

In December, it was fun to feel of the excitement of the children and to be able to watch many of them showcase their various talents in diverse ways. We have extremely talented children at this school.

Students also had the opportunity to attend our reading carnival in which students got to spend the reading tickets they worked so hard to earn throughout the year; I was lucky enough to eat pizza with 45 students who used their tickets to buy lunch with the principal. During our carnival, we gave out hundreds of books, gift cards, scooter/bike, an ipod, and play many fun games with the students. We look forward to holding a reading carnival again at the end of the year.

Before school got out the faculty enjoyed participating in a faculty party and a surprise nerf gun battle after school in which teachers worked together to search for treasure around the school.

Thanks to all of you for picking up students on the north side of the school; I know this is important for the safety of our students.

It takes parents, students, and teachers working together to do what is best for kids. At Meadow Brook we know we are blessed to have incredible parents, students, and teachers and we are grateful! Thanks for all you do to make our school great!
