This week during library time, we learned how fun it can be to act out favorite picture books. Younger classes acted out 10 Fat Turkeys, by Tony Johnston, and enjoyed jumping off “the fence” when it was their turn. Older classes performed a reader’s theater of the book Turk and Runt: A Thanksgiving Comedy, by Lisa Wheeler. Some students were the readers, and did a great job using strong voices and reading their parts with expression. The other students were the audience, and enjoyed seeing the book pictures projected on the screen while listening to their classmates’ performance. There was a lot of laughing as we all enjoyed these funny stories!
