Christmas Around the World in First Grade

In first grade, we packed up our suitcases and passports and flew away to learn about different Christmas traditions and cultures of other countries!On Christmas Eve night in the Philippines, everybody puts a star on their porch that lights up. -CharlieIn Sweden, the youngest daughter in the family wears a crown and is in a parade. - ShilohIn France, they put out their shoes and Pere Noel (Father Christmas) puts candy in their shoes. -EmmaThey hang stockings on the fireplace or on their beds in England. -LuciaIn Mexico, they use poinsettias for decoration. -SamirThey celebrate with piñatas in Mexico. -Mateo
