For February, Meadow Brook students will be learning about Habit 6: Synergyze.  This habit teaches the students the importance of getting along with others and working in groups.  The students will learn if they work as a team, they can get more done and come up with better solutions than they could alone.  Synergy is a valuable habit that can be used in many aspects of our lives: the home, school, community, workplace, teams, and clubs, to name a few.  If you would like to encourage Habit 6 in the home you can organize, plan, and implement a family service project.  You can also work as a group to put a puzzle together or complete a home project.  Books to help encourage Habit 6 are: Clifford’s Spring Clean Up by Norman Bridwell, How the Second Grade Got $8205.50 To Visit the Statue of Liberty by Nathan Zimelman and Chicken Sunday by Patricia Polacco.
