My name is Kirstie Brickey. I was born and raised in Payson Utah. I have two brothers and two sisters and I am the youngest. I married my best friend D.J. in 2014. When I am not teaching I like to play volleyball and softball. I enjoy spending time with my family by playing games, traveling to Lake Powell, Disneyland or any other destination. I love to read when I get the chance.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University (UVU). I also studied Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my Masters of Education through Southern Utah University (SUU). I started teaching first grade at Rees Elementary three years ago. I am ecstatic to teach first grade at Meadow Brook Elementary!
Teaching is the most rewarding job and I love what I do. My job is enjoyable each and every day. Being a teacher allows me to be creative, fun and make a difference in the lives of my students. Students learn best when they are in a safe and positive environment, where they can be themselves, respect others, and are excited to learn new things. This allows us to develop our classroom community based on respect and trust for one another.
I am so excited to meet everyone coming to Meadow Brook Elementary! This is the beginning of a wonderful journey we get to take together.
