Fifth grade had the amazing opportunity to go to the State Capitol on Friday, February 21st. We have been learning about U.S. History and the beginning of our U.S. government. It was a great experience to actually walk through the impressive Capitol building. We were able to go to the Supreme Court room, the House of Representatives chambers and the Senate chambers. Definitely the highlight of our trip was meeting Governor Herbert! We got to listen to him speak to us about being a good citizen and doing all we can to learn at school. He was really nice and shook our hands too! We loved our time at the State Capitol.
