Learning through Dancing

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Mrs. Peterson's first grade class has been learning reading comprehension skills and learning to understand what we are reading. Today we were able to read a story then dance and move through the story to get a better understanding of what we read!

Positive art in 5th grade

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

It was a week of fun! We all did a positive art project. Everyone in Mrs. Irwin's class chose a positive quote to put on our poster. We wrote the words in creative letters. We then got to paint the background. We wanted to motivate all those that walked by our classroom. Our posters all turned out creative and unique.

Play-doh fun

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

In kindergarten, we are having fun learning about subtraction! We used one of our favorite tools…play doh! We played play doh smash to practice our new skill. We started with 6 balls of play doh, rolled a dice, then smashed that many balls. However many were left intact was our answer. So fun!

3rd graders get “curious”

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

We loved going to the Thanksgiving Point Curiosity Museum this week! Students were able to explore the Rainforest and Kidopolis, finding hidden treasures and secret passageways. They loved the Discovery Garden and had fun in Water Works, where they interacted with wind, water, and earth to expand their understanding of the natural world!

Thank you PTA

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Our amazing PTA put on the best teacher appreciation on this side of the “Miss’ ippi”. This week teachers at Meadow Brook were showed appreciation by getting lunch, having their doors decorated, breakfast burritos, bbq lunch, chili and cornbread lunch, happy trail mix, Jean days, books, gifts, and even a longer lunch time. Thank you to our PTA! We are so thankful to have a team that makes it a warm and great place to be. We have enjoyed seeing them around the skill having a honky tonk time!
