Turkey disguise

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

This month we drew disguises for turkeys.  We then had to explain what our disguise was and how it would help the turkey survive Thanksgiving.  In our class, we went around the room and looked and at each other's disguises and how it would help the turkey survive.  We then made supportive comments on students' desks for them to read.  It was fun to see what each of us came up with!

These young Padawan‘s have been working hard this week! Their assignments included several discussions, an art project and writing assignments regarding Thanksgiving turkey! You would be surprised how many young Jedi think we should have turkey every day instead of just on Thanksgiving. They discussed the dark side and the light side of having turkey on Thanksgiving. These students continue to get smarter every day.

In Social Studies students have been learning about how the United States and early settlers experienced life. Students had the opportunity to make yarn dolls, whirligig, ropes, churn butter, weave, create patterns for quilts, and play charades!
