Congratulations to Meadow Brook Elementary, in Nebo School District, and their school PR Ambassador, Megan Oropeza, for earning the Nebo #Hashtag Award. This award is given to the school that communicates to their parents and students, in a variety of ways, the events and important news items happening at school. Meadow Brook has posted over 41 stories this month and 86 stories for the school year. The school also has approximately 170% of their student enrollment connected on social media to get the latest news from the school.

Mrs.Gonzalez’s Halloween fun

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Mrs. Gonzalez's class had a fun Halloween Party day. Costumes were fantastic! We played three games, had treats, and completed a cool mask craft.

Our unit of energy wrapped up with building circuits. Now we are investigating waves. We are working on multiplication, and just started some poetry.

Everyone is reading great books too. This is the BEST class!

Directional science

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

We have been working on directionality for science! For our first lesson, we tested which way things will move by throwing paper airplanes outside and seeing which direction they would go. It was so fun!

Thank you Military

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

To celebrate Veterans Day, all the 5th graders learned a song called Thank You Military! Ms. Owen's class did a great job singing about how grateful we are for veterans. We talked about the sacrifices they have made for us, and then the 5th graders wrote letters to veterans!

Every week Grandpa Osborn, comes to visit Mrs. Anderson's 4th graders to share his love of reading! The students enjoy asking him questions and hearing him read aloud to them. It makes students feel special to have their friend visit each week!
