Third graders practice team work!

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Third graders learned what was important about being team players through an activity where they needed to work together to build a tower of cups with rubber bands. Third graders learned that to be successful they need to listen to each other, suggest ideas and agree on what they were doing to complete the tower. Not only did they learn valuable teamwork skills but had lots of fun in the process!!  Go Mustangs!!

4th Grade working together as a team!

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

In 4th grade we learned about working together as a team! Each group had to work together to stack the cups into a pyramid without touching the cups with their hands. They were given a rubber band and some string as the only tools they could use. It took lots of communication and several tries but each group was successful!

3rd grade rocking the keyboard!

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

We have LOVED learning all about typing in 3rd grade the past couple of weeks, and we are getting really fast at it! Each day we spend 30 minutes learning how to type letters on the keyboard correctly. We have learned that each finger is in charge of typing certain letters. It’s really hard to keep our hands on home row the whole time, but we are pretty awesome at it!

4th graders have been working hard these first few weeks of school. We are building routines and digging into new learning. As a result of their hard work, students who have their work caught up enjoyed sidewalk chalk and kickball!

Ms.Craner’s class on technology

"Ms. Craner's class is so excited to be learning to use our new touchscreen Chromebooks!  We have been learning how to log in and then use a Blended Learning Choice board during our centers.  Each student gets to choose which activity to do and keep track of their own progress as the week goes on.  These wonderful First Graders have worked hard to learn their usernames and passwords along with how to navigate Clever to access their activities.  We are having so much fun!"
