Kindergarten Math is Fun!

Students in Mrs. Deans kindergarten class learned how to compare numbers this week. We played a fun game with dice and built towers using cubes. The students did a great job using math language to compare their numbers and had a lot of fun!

Meadow Brook is thankful for art

 This month in art to celebrate Thanksgiving, the kindergarten, first, and second grades drew turkeys. They also learned how to mount their art so it can be displayed. Our third grade friends learned how to draw rainbow corn and our fifth and sixth grade learned about warm and cool colors as they drew a fall tree.

Gargoyles and Grotesques in Sixth Grade

The Sixth Grade recently had the opportunity to learn from a District Art Specialist.  She taught students the difference between gargoyles and grotesques.  Students learned that the main difference is gargoyles must have an opening to allow water to move away from a building.  Our sixth graders are amazing artists and made some creative gargoyles and grotesques out of modeling clay and then used black paint to give them an antiqued look!

Blended Learning in Action

Meadow Brook Crystal Apple Winner
