Fourth Grade Keyboarding

Submitted by megan.oropeza on Mon, 10/10/2022 - 07:31

Our students are hard at work tip, tap, typing away! Fourth graders have the opportunity to receive keyboarding instruction for 12 weeks to go from two-finger tappers to ten-fingered typing masters. Our students have already become more capable with the important skills of digital self expression and involvement. They have come so far!

Mustang club

Every morning, Principal Balli starts the day by doing the morning announcements. She asks Student Council's help to give the weather report, lunch menu and to call down our birthday friends. Occasionally, these student council members help Miss Balli pass out awards, such as our Principal Mustang Club winners. Being with our students is such a fun way to start the morning.

Celebrating Diversity

Submitted by megan.oropeza on Wed, 10/05/2022 - 07:44

n our class we have been celebrating diversity along with our academics. Each morning class members gather to discuss likes, dislikes and ideas unique to each student. In our class, our favorite foods are; treats, tostadas, lunch meat, and octopus. Our favorite countries are; Portugal, Mexico, Thailand, Russia, and the USA- in fact, some of our students are bilingual! Everyone agrees, the Recreation Center has some scary water slides- but if you conquer your fears, they are the best, ever!

Shapes in Kinder

Submitted by megan.oropeza on Tue, 10/04/2022 - 20:37

In kindergarten, our littlest learners have been working hard in math learning about 2D “flat” shapes and 3D “solid” shapes. We used play dough, sticks, and string to create, classify, and compare different shapes.
