PE Fun

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

PE has been fun this moth. It’s warming up so we’ve been able to enjoy some time outdoors. We’ve been staying active with fun Star Wars games, ninja turtles, kick ball and having fun working on some jump rope, hula hoop and basketball skills. The kids are been so great and enthusiastic about all the games and learning to work together as a team, be supportive to one another and most importantly having fun. I feel so luck to be surrounded by such amazing kiddos that teach me just as much if not more than I teach them. Meadow Brook is such a great place with such a great community.

Terracotta Soldiers

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Sixth grade students have been learning about the terracotta army of soldiers that was unearthed in 1974 in China.  Students have been able to read and write about this discovery from ancient China.  Today, students created their own terracotta soldiers out of clay!  They are excited to add paint to them next week.  The original terracotta soldiers were painted in beautiful colors but the paint flaked off as soon as it was exposed to air - hopefully our soldiers won't meet the same fate!
