Creepy Carrots

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Mrs. Oman’s class had a wonderful time celebrating Halloween. They Read Creepy Carrots  by Aaron Reynolds. Then as tables/ teams they participated in a STEM activity- building a fence out of carrots and toothpicks to keep the Creepy Carrots in. It was impressive to see the students work together and think of multiple ways to complete this task.

Invasion from Mars

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Each 4th grade class has been working hard learning a readers theater called,”Invasion from Mars.” It was fun to see the creativity of the students as they made props, practiced lines, and helped the play come together. Each 4th grade class invited a different 3rd grade class in to watch the play. The students had so much fun performing for other students. It was a rewarding experience and they already want to do another!

3rd Grade Culture Day

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

We had so much fun learning about China and Mexico for our 3rd Grade Culture Day this month! We love the opportunity we have to learn new things about other cultures.

Claudia Fisher and her friend Eliza taught us all about Mexico and the origin behind the “Day of the Dead” celebration. We loved learning about how they honor their ancestors and celebrate them during that holiday.

2nd Grade Belt Buckle Awards

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on
2nd grade has been working very hard to pass off their Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum math facts. Each test has 50 problems and they have a total of 3 minutes to complete it. We are so proud of our students that have passed off their belt buckles so far and can’t wait for the rest to pass them off! 2nd grade is full of math superstars!
