Cats or Dogs

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Mr. Haslam's class has been working their  "tails" off. They have been writing an opinion paper on what is better cats or dogs.  The class was split 50/50 on what was better a cat or a dog. Mr. Haslam was the tie breaker because he said cats tasted better. He was just “kitten”!
Mr. Haslam's student's are getting better and better everyday at their writing skills they are working on the "purrfect"  finished paper.

Meet our Facilitator

Born and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah, Miss Hallam is a literal “speedy Spaniard,” who has traded in her high heels for high tops to better run the fences with the students. Given Miss Hallam’s extracurricular interests of long-distance running and roller-blading, she is well-prepared to meet the rigors of recess. Modeling both title and utility in her personal dress code, “professional athletic,” has become her fashion statement for the school year.

First Grade Problem Solving

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

In first grade, we have been learning to use different tools to problem solve math stories to find values, sums, and missing addends.  This week they were so excited to add and color using their math tools.  It was fun to see their confidence and growth, adding numbers together.
