Story Champs

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

In speech this week, our students have been working very hard on telling complete stories with appropriate grammar. We love using the "Story Champs" program to achieve this. Our story picture cards, icons, and color-coded popsicle sticks help students remember to include the main parts of a story: character, setting, problem, feeling, action, conclusion, and end feeling. We are so proud of our students who are learning to tell/retell stories anywhere from personal narratives to academic literature like pros!

We have spent time this quarter learning about structures and functions found in Utah's environment to keep plants and animals alive.  Each group in Mrs. Anderson's class got to deepen their understanding about one of the five animal groups and learn more about their adaptations

Celebrating our remarkable third-grade keyboarding champions of the week! All third grade students have started to work on typing. Students have to show correct typing position, and correct finger placement as they learn the keys. These young learners have shown such an excitement for keyboarding!
