Rhythm in Music
This week in music we reviewed how to play our boomwhackers. The kids had fun creating new rhythms and creating the harmonies they heard. This is also in prep for our Start Wars light saber duels next week!

Meadow Brook students and teachers came together to celebrate the foundational document of our nation.
Kindergarten has hit the ground running! These kiddos brains are soaking up all the things, including shapes. Lots and lots of 2D shapes!
They have learned how to determine which shape is which by it’s number of sides and corners. From a circle to a hexagon, they have got it nailed.
To apply it to the real world, our friends brought in pictures and items of shapes they see in our every day. They helped each other sort their shapes, and then worked as a class to check each shape category for accuracy.
Hooray for 2D shapes! Next up, 3D!
Teachers and staff at Meadow Brook Elementary met together all day on Monday to dive deep into Literacy and Math data. When collected and analyzed thoughtfully, this data can provide invaluable insights into student performance, identifying areas where improvement is needed, and helping to tailor instructional strategies accordingly. Our goal is to have proficient readers and mathematicians in all grade levels.
Meadow Brook Elementary is fortunate to have the dedicated and efficient duo of Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Graves serving as our school secretaries. These two remarkable individuals are the heartbeat of our institution, always greeting students, parents, and staff with warm smiles and a willingness to assist. Mrs. Graves organizational prowess ensures that everything runs seamlessly, while Mrs. Porters friendly demeanor makes her the go-to person for anyone seeking information or assistance.
