The students wrote autobiography books about their mothers. We had a wonderful time sharing stories and picnicking in the beautiful weather! We hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day!!
After writing argumentative essays on whether or not America should keep or get rid of the penny, Mrs. Gregory's class used their arguments to write scripts for a courtroom scene to bring their writing to life. The students did a great job gathering evidence to support their arguments. Each time the the courtroom scene was performed, the jury voted to keep the penny!
The second grade students had a great day on their spring field trip. We went to a park for a picnic. The weather was beautiful. Then we went to Harward Farms. We saw baby animals, a sheep getting sheered, Terry the Tomato, and lots of other fun things.
Congratulations to all of our amazing second graders that earned the Student of the Month Award for April. They are: Zack, Tony, Alyssa, Ava, Oliver, Victoria, Gage, Kaylee, Elena, Hennessy, and Tessa.
Also, congratulations to all of our Buckle Winners. Keep practicing those math facts!!
