Celebrating Diversity

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

n our class we have been celebrating diversity along with our academics. Each morning class members gather to discuss likes, dislikes and ideas unique to each student. In our class, our favorite foods are; treats, tostadas, lunch meat, and octopus. Our favorite countries are; Portugal, Mexico, Thailand, Russia, and the USA- in fact, some of our students are bilingual! Everyone agrees, the Recreation Center has some scary water slides- but if you conquer your fears, they are the best, ever!

Shapes in Kinder

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

In kindergarten, our littlest learners have been working hard in math learning about 2D “flat” shapes and 3D “solid” shapes. We used play dough, sticks, and string to create, classify, and compare different shapes.
