The state of Utah provided money for each teacher in Utah willing to write a grant. In the grant teachers needed to describe what supplies they needed in their classroom. I wrote a grant asking for inside recess supplies. When the air quality isn't good enough or it's too cold to go outside we have to stay inside for recess. All kids need to run around and get some fresh air, but that isn't always possible. In the past whenever we had to stay inside my students have dreaded it. With our new supplies students have enjoyed inside recess a lot more. I got supplies that allow my students to engineer, build, and use their problem solving skills in a way that is engaging and fun. We are so grateful for the new supplies we received!
