Landforms and Water

2nd grade is working on learning about landforms and water. Along with this, we are learning about quick and slow earth changes. Last week we learned about quick changes, like earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and landslide. We are now focusing on slow changes due to weathering and erosion. To do this we used a hard cookie and slowly dropped water on the cookie. We observed the changes over time. This symbolizes weathering over hundreds, thousands, and even millions of years!
