This week the fourth graders had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Native Americans and how they have helped shape the way we live today. We had some amazing presenters, and one of them was a student who attends Meadow Brook. She shared part of her heritage by showing the students a cultural dance. At the end of the presentation, the students were able to learn a song using hand speak. This is a way Native American tribes communicated when they didn’t speak the same language.
