Our 4th grade classes enjoyed visiting the past at the pioneer village at This is the Place Monument park. We had a train tour of the village, learned about the Pony Express, pushed/pulled handcarts, and learned about the one room school that was part of every early Utah pioneer child’s experience. Lunch in the cool sun, lots of walking and fun on a modern playground filled the day between hour long bus ride up and back. Everyone kept saying “this is the BEST field trip!”
