The Road to Revolution

5th grade has been studying, "The Road to Revolution."  As part of this study, we began enacting the acts, starting with the Stamp Act. We discussed the reasons King George enacted the acts and did a simulation in which every piece of paper required a stamp.  Students had to pay for and attach stamps to every paper they turned in.  One morning some students came to school with protest signs against the stamp act! It was quite fun to see them so invested in this activity and their understanding of the difficulties it may have caused the colonists. It has been lots of fun learning about early American history!
