Mr. Mann returned to Meadow Brook Elementary to receive a special gift and see the fourth grade program. The students, under the direction of Mrs. Young, published a book, Two Are Better Than One, with stories and illustrations about the unusual fourth grade year - having two teachers. Mrs. Young set an initial goal of helping her students write stories about the experience to further their knowledge of the writing process, but ultimately she found that it was an activity for healing hearts and minds during this transitional period. The students were thrilled to present their hardcover, published book to Mr. Mann as well as one to Principal Balli.
