Egg Drop

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

In 3rd Grade, we put our skills to the test to see if we could keep an egg from breaking when it was dropped from the roof. We had a limited amount of supplies, but we came up with some pretty ingenious designs. Many of our eggs survived the long drop, while some needed a little more reinforcement. All in all we had so much fun creating our designs and have some great ideas for the next time we decide to drop an egg off the roof.

Passing off Buckles

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on
4th graders in Mrs. Anderson's class are working hard to pass off their multiplication and division fast facts. It takes a lot of hard work and determination to do 60 problems in 3 minutes! We recently had a belt buckle award meeting where students were given stickers based on what level of fast facts they were on. Keep working hard Mustangs!

Musical Sight Words

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Students in Mrs. Kadish's class practiced sight words in a fun way. They wrote sight words on their desks and then walked around while they listened to music. When the music stopped, they sat down and read the word on their table. The students loved it!

Planting Seeds in Mrs. Oman's Class

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

First grade has been learning about plants and the 4 things they need to survive: water, food, shelter and favorable temperatures.  Mrs. Oman’s class  played a game where they had to collect each of these items to survive. They then planted their own seeds so that they can grow plants.

National Poetry Month

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

This week during library time we studied poetry for National Poetry Month. Students discussed what makes a poem, and we read some fun and silly poems together. We also each wrote our own poem in the style of Dr. Seuss.
