Once a Mustang always a Mustang!
Some students have moved throughout the year and have stayed in touch with their Meadow Brook family. Each has their own stories and each are unique. We have missed them and they will always be mustangs!

Mrs. Delgado's kindergarten class enjoys frequent guest teachers in our classroom. This week we had one of our favorites-- district math specialist Todd Bradford. He helped us learn about combining numbers with simple math story problems. Our little learners used math tools like manipulatives and white boards to show our fantastic work and what we are learning.
The annual school reading round up Fundraiser is beginning! Over the weekend students may get their pledges! This will raise money to get students more books and technology in our school! Students will be sent home a packet to gather pledges for their minutes. Students may only ask family members and people they trust. A sponsor can donate a flat amount or they can donate an amount for minutes read! For example if a student read for ten cents a minute and read 250 minutes you would owe $25 dollars. Then students may begin reading!
Ms. Owen's class has been learning about similes and metaphors and looking for them in the books they read! Every time a student finds a simile or a metaphor in a book, they write it down on a post-it note and add it to our wall of figurative language. Every day they find so many more, and our wall is getting filled with similes and metaphors!
