Parents,

I hope all of you enjoyed the holiday break.

December was a wonderful month at Meadow Brook! It was overwhelming to watch the kindnesses of so many! There was a tremendous amount of support with the Giving Tree and with school lunches being paid off for students in need! Thanks to each of you for making our school and community a better place to be!

Christmas Challenge

Submitted by lena.bird on

We read the book titled How to Catch an Elf by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton. The students were then given the challenge to design and create an elf trap. They were able to use supplies such as pipe cleaners, bowls, craft sticks, string, and tape. It was a great opportunity for students to use their engineering skills as well as practice collaborating with groups. The results were spectacular! Each group built a great trap and was beyond excited to try and catch Santa's little helpers. Merry Christmas from Miss Kenison's 4th Grade!

Reading Carnival

Submitted by lena.bird on

On Friday, Meadow Brook was filled with the sounds of excited students all ready to spend their tickets at the carnival.  Not just any carnival- the reading carnival.  Students earn tickets to spend at the carnival by doing their weekly reading.  They can use their tickets on games, activities, ice cream, raffles, parties, and of course- books!  It was a lot of fun!  Keep reading Mustangs- the next carnival will be here before you know it!

Parents,

We want to thank you for coming out for parent-teacher conferences; I know the teachers enjoyed meeting with you.

We want to thank everyone for the generous amount of support given to help students in need at Meadow Brook by participating in our Giving Tree!! We would like to collect these donations by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.
