❤️ Love is in the air in kindergarten! ❤️
We did a fun activity with conversation hearts where we figured out how many of each color we had, then learned how to graph our results. We also did a fun science experiment to see which liquid (water, soda, and vinegar) a conversation heart would sink or float in. We made predictions and then tested our theories!

It was a perfect sunny day when fourth grade took their hand-made sundials outside to test them. Students were excited to see the time on their sundials match the real time!

Fifth grade has been diving into a world full of drama, magic, and just a hint of romance as we study Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream! Students have been sharpening their summarizing, writing, and performance skills along the way. What a fun way to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit! 💌
Hard work pays off! 🧸✨ Mrs. Robison’s 3rd grade class earned a special reward—pajamas and stuffed animals at school—by showing responsibility, hard work, and kindness.

Speech time is one of our favorite parts of preschool! The children engage in fun, interactive play designed to boost their language skills.
Whether it's expanding vocabulary or practicing turn-taking, our speech sessions are all about play-based learning!

This year we launched a new reading program! Every student starts with a quick placement test to pinpoint exact skills they need support with (phonics, decoding, fluency). Students then join small, skill-based groups for targeted lessons. At the end of each month, we retest, celebrate growth, and regroup so instruction stays just‑right for each learner. Every student gets what they need, when they need it—and the progress has been awesome to watch. 📚✨

Little hands, big imaginations ✨ Building, pretending, exploring, and learning together. Just another magical day in preschool! 💛

Kindergarten celebrated 100 days in school! They seem to have all aged 100 years as well! 👵🏼👴🏼💯

Our classroom has been rocking lately! 🪨🔥 We’ve been studying rocks and the rock cycle, then bringing them to life by writing descriptive paragraphs using personification. These young geologists gave rocks voices, feelings, and stories of their own!

In 5th grade, we have been focusing on becoming proficient at our essential standards, like multi-digit multiplication with the standard algorithm! As you can see, Ms. Owen’s class loves math groups!

This week our amazing team of special education teachers, school psychologist and speech-language pathologists headed to an elementary-focused training to sharpen our skills in collaboration, paperwork, and...most importantly...serving children well.
Behind the scenes, this kind of learning helps us work smarter together, strengthen supports, and ensure every student gets the care and services they deserve. We’re proud to invest our time in growing as professionals so we can better support our students, families, and school community.

Second grade is having so much fun learning about measurement! 📏✨ Did you know that one of the cool things about centimeters, meters, (and millimeters and kilometers) is they relate to each other through the number 100? The kids thought it was cool that 100 millimeters is equivilant to 1 centimeter, 100 centimeters is the same as a meter, and there are 100 meters in a kilometer. We are not measuring kilometers in second grade (I can't help but throw in extra tidbits here and there), but we are learning about tools we can use to measure inches, centimeters, yards, and meters, estimating and checking our answers, and will soon be comparing lengths! I sure love seeing their excitement as they learn new skills! 💙📐
Mrs. Albrecht's class had an amazing time at the Utah Symphony last week! 🎻
Students learned about the wind, brass, percussion, and string sections of the symphony and experienced the magic of live music! What a fun and inspiring day!

The kindergartners have loved getting to learn how to jump rope outside at recess! We’ve got some jumping queens and kings here at Meadow Brook!

Big ideas, strong teamwork, and lots of collaboration! Our kindergarten and 5th grade teams having a productive PD planning day. 👏📘

Mrs. Oman’s class loves having our school counselor come each month! This month Mrs. Palfreyman taught us about being good friends. We are lucky to have such a great school counselor!

Smiles, hugs, and lots of stories to tell! Our preschool friends are SO excited to be back at school after the break.

Our fifth-grade classes had the opportunity to visit our State Capitol this week! Students learned about the history and symbolism of this remarkable building. Throughout the year, they have studied the three branches of government, and this visit allowed them to see where each branch works inside the Capitol. We had a fantastic time!
