Service With a Smile

Submitted by lena.bird on Wed, 12/14/2016 - 15:26

Second graders in Mrs. Bird's class put on their working gloves today and happily helped Mr. Johnson clean up the cafeteria after lunch.  It was a big and messy job, but with 26 pairs of helping hands, the work went fast!  Mr. Johnson and Mr. Grotegut do so much for our school, we wanted to pay them back so we decided to do something nice for them.  Merry Christmas Mr. Johnson!!

Congratulations to our November Students of the Month!  These students were caught making excellent choices in November.  Their names are (in no particular order): Dawson, Taylin, Mylee, Kyde, Claire, Eliza, Savannah, Cayle, Parker, Shaylee, Christian, and Deysi.  Also, congrats to all of those 2nd graders who earned a belt buckle this month.  We had bronze, silver, and even three gold buckles earned.  We loved having a visit from Cowboy Pitcher who came to celebrate with us!

Habit 4: Think Win Win

Submitted by lena.bird on Mon, 12/05/2016 - 16:16

For December, Meadow Brook students finished out Red Ribbon Week by learning about Habit 4: Think Win-Win.  They watched an inspiring Olympic video that represented a Win-Win attitude.  The students learned that to think win-win means to make the best of any situation.  We do our best to reach our potential and we help others to reach their potential, too.  A win-win person doesn’t just think about what they want, they think of other’s needs too.  They think of ways to make everyone happy.  If you would like to encourage Habit 4 in the home, you can have a family game night and focus

Red Ribbon Week Visitor

Submitted by lena.bird on Fri, 12/02/2016 - 08:27

Mustangs kicked off Red Ribbon Week with a special visitor on Monday morning - Leo the Lion from Real Salt Lake.  He welcomed students to school with high fives and silly string and a message to stay healthy!  Thanks Leo and thanks RSL!
