Each Friday fourth graders have a chance to earn a Fun Friday activity. They earn this by turning in their homework and having their work completed in class. Some of the activities we have already done are chalk, jump rope, basketball, kickball, tag, relay races, board games, and art projects. We look forward to having more fun throughout the year!
Mrs.Issertell’s class has been exploring! Each morning, they have the chance to explore math or literacy toys and tools. On this morning, they were practicing using letters to write words, and they sounded out one of their favorite candies (Skittles) phonemically!
Mr. Welton (a member of the House of Representatives) and Mr. Hansen (a district math coach) visited Meadow Brook on Constitution Day to talk about the importance of our Constitution. Thank you Mr. Welton and Mr. Hansen! Students gathered around the flag to honor our constitution.
Mrs.Andersons class has been learning about what science is. They have brainstormed what scientists do, different types of science, and the scientific method! They are learning these skills to be ready to perform science experiments and observations throughout the school year!
Mrs. Irwin's 5th grade class got to lunch work this week. There were 6 servers, 6 table washers and 2 hall monitors. It was so fun getting the chance to help keep our lunchroom clean. We made it fun by having a few friendly competitions as well.
Mr. Mouth has been visiting speech a lot recently. Mr. Mouth is a tactile and visual way for speech students to learn where their tongue is supposed to go in their mouths for specific sounds. The students love getting to move his tongue around and match it to their own. Mr. Mouth is a loved visitor in the speech room!
