For October, the school will be working on Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind.  On Friday, the students learned the importance of having a plan and setting goals.  A person that 'begins with the end in mind' is always prepared and thinks about the choices they make and how those choices influence their life.  If you would like to encourage the 7 Habits in your home, this month you can talk to your kids about what career they would like when they grow up.  You can also help them to make a plan about what type of friend they want to be or what kind of student they would like to be at school.  You could even help them make a plan for a Reflections project and then carry it out.  Some books that reinforce this habit are: When I Grow Up by Al Yankovic, The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle, or Click Clack Cows that Moo by Doreen Cronin.
