Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

We just celebrated the end of term 2 in fouth grade!  All 4th graders who did not get 2 behavior tickets this term got to participate in our Minute to Win Games. We had a blast blowing up balloons, popping them and wrapping students up as mummies! We hope everyone one gets to play scatter ball next term!!

Problem Solving in Kindergarten

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

This week Kindergarten students participated in a digital breakout session with our Technology Specialist, Mrs. Berns. The students used their critical thinking skills and worked together to solve problems using shapes, numbers, and directions. It was fantastic to see the children working together in small groups and the excitement as they opened three digital locks to receive the key to open a physical lock. Our Kindergarten students are wonderful problems solvers. It was exciting to celebrate their successful problem-solving.

Visits From a Real Author

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Ms. Thomas’s 3rd grade class had the best experience with writing! We had a real author, Keri Measom-Francis, come visit us and share with us her love of writing. She introduced us to “Creative Notebooks”, which we all made. She then encouraged us to write, write, write! (A few students were so excited about these books that they made another one to use at home!)
