Dividing in 4th Grade
These past few weeks, we've been learning about division. We started it off by using blocks to show numbers in groups. For example, we put 254 in 4 different groups. We learned there are two different types of division. There is partitive and measurement. I hope everyone in our class will be able to know division well.
3rd Grade Culture Day
Culture Day continues in the 3rd grade! Before Thanksgiving break, all third graders were able to learn more about the country and culture of Saudi Arabia. Students learned about Saudia Arabia's geography, traditions, language, government, religion and more. Students especially enjoyed learning about the different types of clothing typically worn in Saudia Arabia and the tradition of sitting around a rug and eating Na'an bread. Third grade loves our culture days and we are so excited for all the upcoming presentations!
Salt Dough Maps
In 4th grade we have been studying about the three geographical regions of Utah. We learned about the Great Basin, the Colorado Plateau, and the Rocky Mountains. We then had the opportunity to make salt dough maps of Utah and paint them according to the three geographical regions. The students had a lot of fun and did a fantastic job!
