Place Value in 1st Grade

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

In first grade we have learned about place value and how each digit has value.  Our math choice board gives the students choice in an engaging way as they review and practice skills they have learned. #thefutureisours#Meadowbrook#mustangs#meadowbrookmagic#outofthisworld#TheClimb #NeboHero #NeboSchoolDistrict #StudentSuccess #EmpowerStudents #EngageStudents #FocusOnStudents #LoveUTpublicSchools #UtPol #UtEd #ThankATeacher

Force and Motion

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

This week Mr. Haslam’s class has been learning about force and motion for science. They had soda can races using a ballon and a soda can. They used the static electricity from the ballon to push the soda can. This was a blast and the students loved it!  This was one AWESOME science lesson!

Fifth Grade Works With Second Grade

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

The fifth graders loved visiting second grade last week! After working hard to master reading and analyzing articles to use when writing an essay, the fifth graders were excellent mentors to the second graders who were beginning their own writing project about animals. It was exciting to see the collaboration and shared excitement for learning among the students.
