Climates and Animals Found in Utah!

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

Last month, 4th graders got to participate in an interactive presentation learning all about the different climates and animals found in Utah! It was so wonderful to see how engaged each student was as the presenters would give different clues for different animals and climates using sound clips and pictures, and then as they would ask critical thinking questions. The students did a great job of giving well thought out answers with evidence to support their ideas and had lots of fun looking at the different models that were brought in!

After a month of hard work, students in the sixth grade had the Science Fair. They spent many hours researching, creating, and doing experiments. Several students will be going on to the Science Fair at district level. We are excited for them to move on, and wish them the best!

Learning at Meadow Brook

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on

This year at Meadow Brook we have the wonderful opportunity to participate in a program called CMI or Comprehensive Mathematics Instruction. The overall objective of CMI is to provide students with the skills they need to be successful in math. Students learn how to communicate and share their mathematical ideas with others. They also learn how to reason mathematically and ask questions.
