Hope of America

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

This week, 5th grade has been participating in Hope of America.  We have spent a bit of time each day for a few months learning the patriotic songs. On May 2, we went to BYU for a practice and the show was on Tuesday, May 3rd at the Marriott Center. It was a lot of fun to join many other schools to perform!

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Mr.Ledesma, our school counselor has been teaching and spreading kindness. Mr.Ledesma introduced a little spot of kindness who is a little yellow guy who reminds us to be kind. Students have been learning about ways to be kind, when to be kind and how to spread kindness. He also talked about times when kindness may be challenging or difficult however when we are kind it makes a difference. Students in Mrs.Oropeza’s second grade class have started a kindness chain to remind us of the many ways we can be kind.

Meadow Brook Mustangs celebrated Miss Balli with a Mustang express. Miss Balli went through the halls collecting letters as students and teachers delivered letters to her and gave her a Mustang stampede.we then surprised her with her own horse ride where she was parades outside in front of the whole school.  Miss Balli is an incredibly exceptional principal who cares for this school. She works effortlessly to spread best teaching practices, kindness, humility and strength. She is the leading role model of our school and we love her!

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Our fourth graders enjoyed visiting with three different animals from the Loveland Living Aquarium! This is a blood python from Indonesia! We were also visited by a crested gecko from Australia and a cave cockroach from South America. We learned about how different animal adaptations help these creatures survive and thrive in their natural environments!
