Fun in PE

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

PE has been so much fun this school year. We’ve played so many fun games, worked on skills and fitness. The kids are always excited to come to class and find out what the next game/activity is going to be and they always play and work so hard. It’s always so rewarding to see them laugh and enjoy a game while getting exercise. This week we’ve been enjoying glow in the dark bowling. It’s been so fun to learn a new skill and new sport while have the added bonus of glow in the dark fun.

Vision Board

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Our class had some time to make a vision board for the States and Capitals of the Northeast area of the United States. We got to pick a State with our partners and had to present to the class. We liked hearing unique things about the States. We got to learn about and see other people’s States. We hope people had fun making these presentations.

We were happy that people were brave enough to present to the class. We had fun and had a good time. It was super fun to learn about the other group's States!

Thursday is "sock it to drugs," and wear crazy socks. Friday is "Our school is drug-free" in which we will wear school spirit gear or cowgirl/boy attire.

4th grade field trip

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

4th grade recently went on a field trip to see the Utah Symphony perform! It was so fun to learn about  the instruments and workings of a symphony, as well as enjoy a spectacular concert. Their favorite song was “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg.

Practicing Wellness

Submitted by megan.oropeza on

Our class likes to practice wellness Wednesday each week. This week we focused on exercising, this was our goblin dance. We have made a goal in 2nd Grade to take ten minutes to teach our students about health and wellness, including gratitude and friendship each day. The students have really enjoyed learning and growing.
