2nd graders have started learning about the night sky. Today we started learning about the rotation of the moon. Next we will be talking about the phases!  The weather forecast shows clear skies for the next week, so head outside tonight and check the moon out!

In first grade we are learning about State and National symbols. Students were able to learn why these symbols are important. A couple of our class favorites were The Beehive and the United States Flag.

The Importance of Power

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on
Today the 5th graders students went on a field trip to the Springville power plant. We learned about power and safety. First we learned to call 811 before we dig outside. Second, we learned how to use power without getting electrocuted, for example, hair dryers and bathtubs. We had lots of fun playing with the shiny ball of death and generating electricity with the bike. We enjoyed cookies and lemonade for a yummy treat on a hot sunny day.
