I Am...

In Mrs. Ramsey's class, we have been talking about positive self-talk. We all have so many unique characteristics. All of the students in Mrs. Ramsey's class are different and important. We made these "I am..." boards to describe ourselves.

PE Fun

We have been having too much fun in PE. The weather has been pretty nice and has allowed us a lot more time outdoors. We’ve finished up with pickle ball, played soccer, frisbee, worked on being prepared for the track meets and played everyone’s new favorite game of among us... the PE version. It’s always so much fun watching kids laugh, be active and having fun all at the same time. We have so many fun and fantastic kids here at Meadow Brook. We’ve had a very weird year with plenty of challenges but also so many silver linings and these kids have been such great sports.

4th Grade Track Meet

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on Mon, 05/10/2021 - 12:58

We had a GREAT day. It was warm and clear--maybe a bit hot by lunch time. The excitement was high. This is the first track meet in which the students have participated. Last year of course we could not hold the event. We arrived about 9:30 and found a spot on the bleachers. Then everyone who was doing the soft ball through or long jump took off to their event location. Not long after, the first event 50 meter girls was called. Then the boys 50 meter. It was exciting to see all the fast runners. The 100 meter was next. Then the 400 Meter.

Scales & Tails in Third Grade

Submitted by sarah.ledingham on Fri, 05/07/2021 - 11:01

This week 3rd grade had the privilege of having Scales & Tails come and do a special presentation on all kinds of different animals! Including a snapping turtle, a caiman alligator, and a giant 10 foot long python snake. The kids loved every second of the presentation and we couldn't be more grateful for the learning opportunity Scales & Tails provided for our 3rd grade students!

1st Graders Show Off What They Have Learned Through Art

Testing week can be so much fun!     In First grade, we are taking our end of year tests and we are having a lot of fun along the way.  Not only do the students enjoy a yummy snack each morning, they get to spend the afternoon participating in activities that help activate their critical thinking skills!  We have been learning about the needs of animals and plants and today, we got to create an art project to show what we know.  Ms.
